Clan na Gael C.L.G. is a Gaelic Athletic club based at Davitt Park, Lurgan, County Armagh in Ireland. The club was formed in 1922 following the demise of the Lurgan Michael Davitts. Throughout the eighty- seven years since its formation it has provided some of the most talented gaelic football players at Club, County and Provincial level in Ireland – among them Edward Mc Laughlin, Alf Murray, Gerry Mc Stay, Brian Seeley, Eamonn Mc Mahon, John Green, Colm Mc Kinstry, Jimmy Smyth, Jim Mc Kerr, Noel O’Hagan, Diarmaid Marsden and Barry John O’Hagan to name but a few. The club has also provided many  committed and talented Administrators, most notable being the late Harry Mc Garry –‘ Go ndeannaidh Dia trocaire ar a anam dilis’.

The Club fields football teams at under/8, under/10, under/12, under/14, under/16, under/18(Minor), under/21, B and Senior levels. It is presently ‘growing’ a Ladies Gaelic Football team. The club also takes great pride in its continuing tradition in Camogie at which our ladies excel to this day.

The club’s is proud of its achievements over the past eighty – seven years, and it continues to carry these traditions forward not only throughout Ireland, but also throughout all those countries to which our players and members have journeyed.
