    Default Beating the Bookies

Thought I would set up this thread with only 12 days to go until Cheltenham. Any fancies for the weekend NFL games?

    Saturday March 6th
    19:30 4/9 Cork 15/2 Galway 9/4
    19:30 9/4 Laois 15/2 Armagh 4/9
    19:30 1/6 Down 10/1 Tipperary 5/1
    19:30 1/5 Meath 9/1 Westmeath 9/2
    19:30 8/13 Antrim 15/2 Fermanagh 6/4

    Sunday March 7th
    13:00 10/11 Wexford 15/2 Sligo 11/10
    13:00 13/2 Kilkenny 16/1 London 1/14
    14:30 8/13 Mayo 15/2 Dublin 13/8
    14:30 1/2 Kerry 15/2 Derry 2/1
    14:30 5/4 Monaghan 15/2 Tyrone 4/5
    14:30 4/5 Kildare 15/2 Donegal 5/4
    14:30 4/7 Offaly 15/2 Roscommon 7/4
    14:30 5/6 Louth 15/2 Cavan 6/5
    14:30 6/4 Waterford 15/2 Longford 8/13
    14:30 4/11 Wicklow 8/1 Carlow 5/2
    14:30 4/11 Clare 9/1 Leitrim 5/2

Are there any prices that stand out for anyone?

Derry and Carlow would be worth looking at. I'd fancy Carlow with a full team, but they'll be missing their U21s so that might swing it for Wicklow.

Laois at that price might be worth a sniff, bit of a bogey team and a reaction will be expected. Sligo look the value bet to me while Dublin might by worth a cuple of pence.

Good value on a few teams there actually.

I like Mayo, Kildare and Louth. Might stick Monaghan into it and do a yankee. Must look at the handicap betting.

What makes you fancy Derry AFS? Just a feeling or do you have a strong fancy for them? Surely with home advantage it would be difficult to oppose Kerry?

Kerry haven't started very well and Derry are capable of beating anyone in the league when the mood takes them. Just thought 2/1 is quite high considering this.

Would give Louth a miss maybe, their U21s are in action on Saturday too.

Waterford could be worth looking at too. They've started with two wins and a draw, while Longford have lost both their games to date (even if they were fucked over in one of them).

I like the look of Derry too, they have seen Dublin go there and win and surely fancy their chances. Would be a good marker to put down for the season ahead. I'd imagine Laois supporters like the look of that price against Armagh but I fancy us to come away with 2 points.

Armagh, Derry and Mayo treble looks tempting.

I like McCoy's chances on Can't Buy Time today at Newbury. Poor racing for a saturday but with only 10 days until Cheltenham that has to be expected I suppose.

might be a bit late to run to the bookies for the 12:30 ko , but the portsmouth v birmingham game, ht/ft bet .

draw ht , win birmingham ft .

6/1 yer cash at paddy power .

    I stuck a tenner on 4 teams.

    Ross County8/11
    Leeds 4/9
    West Ham 5/6
    Aldershot 10/11

Had a few others in mind. I actually fancy Pompey@13/8, Swindon 8/11, Rochdale 4/9 and Chesterfield 11/8.

No doubt those four have a better chance of coming up than the teams I opted for.

It actually doesn't look very appealing today for a football bet, I'd have more interest in having a few quid on the NFL this evening and tomorrow. Hopefully come ten to five I'll have money lying to do so. Here's to hoping.
