Saem old story for Dublin today, led by 3 or four 4 points with not long to go and indiscipline in the tackle cost them a place in the all-ireland final. Cork didnt look anything special and can be considered lucky to come away with the win. Dont think either Down or Kildare have anything major to fear Cork look there for the taking

An exciting match today even if the standard has fallen considerably over the last couple of years. Still an open championship. The fall in standard makes me think Armagh have the potential to get closer to the top quicker than I previously thought - even if Peter Canavan disagrees (Star today). Begbie our eternal pessimist will also disagree!

Ach, you're going back a bit for revenge, arent ya? Alot has happened between McGeeney and McCartan in those 18 years since.

I am puzzled by the huge support for Kildare from Armagh fans though. McGeeney was a great player for Armagh and I would like to see him do well with Kildare. But, ultimately, I think we should be cheering on our Northern counterparts. But I suppose thats easier said than done for those of you who live near the Down/Armagh border!

Easier said than done is right.

Gutted for kieran, Aidan and Kildare , to loose by 2 points after having a square ball and a legititamite point and a penalty given against them. I have to revise my opinion of Pat McEnaney as being a good referee as he got all the big decisions wrong. also what is the point of having referees as umpires if they can't spot the most blatant square ball. Benny most have thought the league rules were still in force to get away with that !!!.

Unlucky for Kildare. How Down got that goal was mind boggling and the same for the point that was not given.

    Cant see Cork beating Down.

Never ceases to amaze me - I know I'm repeating myself, but that Down team is distinctly average - good midfield and some good forwards, including a free taker who ensures they maximise the return from their chances. The defence though is there for the taking.

It is only four months since we played Down off the park in a League Final - a match both teams were going for, hell for leather. I don't have much time for them, but we could learn so much from them. It is their arrogance and self belief that is part of the Down make-up - whether it be their management, their supporters etc etc. They all have it. Meanwhile here we have numerous posters come on here to castigate and ridicule those of us who state that we feel we have potentially a good team, or that certain footballers have potential for the future. The difference is startling, and it shows.

That Down team is no better than we are, and yet they are one match away from winning the All Ireland, and I believe they can do it - they certainly will. Imagine the ridicule that would be heaped on anyone here who suggested Armagh could do likewise.

As I say - we could learn so much from them.
