    Default Derry v Monaghan

Watched the game today, and TBH it was very poor - there is a thuggery and cynical element that has come into football across the board. The basic skills were poor, some of them could not even solo properly.

The Derry captain was sent off, but in reality there could have been quite a few more! Yellow cards don't mean anything, whereas in the National league, they did. There was one incident that was laughable, before the Monaghan kick out was taken, there was a skermish below in the Derry goalmouth - the ball was kicked out, and worked down, and the fighting broke up pretty quickly!

This upmanship has taken out the skill in football IMO.
