    Default Donegal retain McKenna Cup

Donegal edged out Tyrone to retain the 2010 McKenna Cup. Tyrone supporters had more bad news as Stephen O'Neill was taken away in an ambulance and it has been confirmed he suffered a dislocated elbow, which will keep him out for at least three months.

It was a tight first-half but Tyrone took the last two points to go in 0-9 to 0-7 ahead at the break. The gap increased to four after the break just before the 10 minute break to treat O'Neill. Donegal fought back to level and David Walsh scored a goal deep into added time then Tommy McGuigan and Kyle Coney scored but it wasn't enough as Donegal held on to ensure a narrow victory.

There was some good news for Tyrone after the match as manager Mickey Harte revealed that captain Brian Dooher is expected to return for the National League campaign

You have to feel for SON, he has had a bad run of luck injury wise and on his day is a deadly footballer.

That said, I dont want to ever again see Tyrone lift Sam in my lifetime, enough is enough already and I still think we would have won the AI in 03 if Marsden hadnt have been sent off.
