    Default Favourite GAA match

I don't thibk it's been done since we swtiched bases.

    Any standouts.

02, obviously. The semi-final was nearly as good.

Queen's and UUJ in the Sigerson a few years back was an absolutely outstanding match.

By far the Munster Hurling Final in 2004. Waterford 3-16 Cork 1-21. Never seen a sporting event played out with such passion!

Our semi-final with Tyrone in 05 was a great match

Armagh beating Dublin in 2002 and 2003.
The 2 games v Kerry in 2000 were brilliant matches too.
    1999 Ulster Final v Down.
The 3 games v Tyrone in 2005. The semi final (which we blew in the last 5 mins when we lead by 2 points) was a super game.

Other than Armagh games, I'd go for Dublin v Mayo in the 2006 AI semi final.

Down-Tyrone in 2003 and the 2008 replay were the two best matches I have ever seen.

If it's favourite, as opposed to best, then for me our defeat of Dublin in 2003 would be first.

Honourable mentions also to the replay against Fermanagh in 1993 (I stayed to the end! ), a brilliant Fran McMahon inspired come from behind National League win over Cork at the Athletic Grounds in early 1981, and a National League semi-final defeat to Kerry in 1980.

Favourite non Armagh match - the Dublin v Cork draw in the 1983 All Ireland semi-final, or the 1973 All Ireland Final between Cork and Galway, which to this day still holds the record for the biggest combined score in an All Ireland Final. In my memory I can still see the lean frame of 19 year old Cork star, Jimmy Barry Murphy, in the all white kit that Cork wore that day.

Stayed to the end here too. What a finish! I remember an old man in the seat in front of me. He came to his seat with a walking stick very slow and stiff. At the end of the game he was on top of the seat waving the stick in the air. Days like that make football great.

My favourite match would be Armagh V Donegal in 1999. From seven points down to eventual Ulster champions. Without this game we may never have won the All Ireland

2002 All Ireland final. It had it all.

Armagh vs Tyrone 2005 all games especially the first Ulster final game, that comeback was pretty good.

I really do miss the days of going into the championship fully expecting a decent summer, shame those days have gone. But I think we will have them back very soon.

I'm not so sure, as a spectacle it wasn't the best. The first half was dire and it was low scoring, exciting and dramatic though.

The 05 semi-final is probably the greatest atmopshere I have ever experienced at a sporting event, and it wasn't even a full house.
