IN HURLING: FOR OBVIOUS REASONS The 2007 AI HURLING SEMI FINAL BETWEEN LIMERICK AND WATERFORD. 5 LIMERICK GOALS, HEAVEN
IT MEANT I HAD TO REARRANGE MY HOLIDAYS TO BE AT THE AI FINAL

THE 3 LIMERICK TIPPERARY GAMES IN THE 2007 MUNSTER HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP. ESPECIALLY THE SECOND GAME LIMERICK 10 POINTS DOWN WITH ABOUT 12 MINUTES LEFT, COME BACK AND TAKE IT RO ANOTHER REPLAY. LIMERICK WON THE FINAL REPLAY (3RD GAME) WHICH AGAIN WENT TO EXTRA TIME BY A COUPLE OF POINTS.

MOST WATERFORD CORK GAMES ARE FAIRLY EXCITING.

FOOTBALL KILDARE V MEATH THIS YEARS QUATER FINAL, GREAT ALLROUND TEAM PERFORMANCE FROM KILDARE.
MONAGHAN KERRY AI QUARTER FINAL 2007 - MONAGHAN SHOULD HAVE HAD IT WON

Fav match: Armagh v Laois quarter final 2005, (I think??) Armagh played with such power and conviction that after the match we were hot favourites for Sam but were beaten by Tyrone (broke my heart!!!) To my mind this was Armagh at their best and I don't think we'll see the like of them again. Have video of that match and must have watched it a 100 times.Best moment: Stevie putting in in the net with 4 minutes to go against Tyrone in the Ulster final at Croker to put us back in the game. It was worth the 35 Euros to see the tyrone fans faces when we equalised!!

What about the free that Aaron took in that drawn game that John Devine caught in the back of the net behind the line. The umpires that day must have been as blind as Sluddens. There was never much talk about it and that would have put us ahead at the time I think.

Raging Bull, are you old enough to remember the Division 1 play off marathon between the Grange and Collegeland? Think it was back in 1993. I think it took 3 games before Collegeland eventually won it. Mightn't have been the greatest football on show, but definitely top drawer for drama and excitement.

Well, outside of matches I played in, then the two Harps v Rangers matches in the 1987 County semi-final at Whitecross, would stick out in my mind. The drawn game in particular was a classic.

I also fondly remember some great games in the late seventies in County Finals involving the great Carrickcruppen team, as well as Rangers and Clans.

Outside of Armagh football, there was a great Ulster Club Final in the Athletic Grounds - might have been 1993 - between Errigal Ciaran and Downpatrick. Errigal Ciaran scored a goal that day into the bottom goals with a wonderful length of the field move - as good a goal as I have ever seen.

Drawn game was a super game if I remember right. Didn't you save a penalty that day?

Obviously for myself the big games were amazing, the 1997 game against Knockmore for unreal for the atmosphere and pageantry of playing in Croke Park for the first time but I personally think the Ulster championship in 1996 against Blaney was more special, it was the game that I think we finally believed we could do something special.
