Congrats to Dromintee ceili and set dance winners last night in the Armagh final. Dromintee also received club of the year.

TAC was at the night so i'm sure he'll have full results up later.

    Results :
    Céilí: Dromintee
    Solo singing:Mullaghbawn
    Recitation: Carrickcruppen
    Quiz: Silverbridge
    Ballad Group: Cullyhanna
    Instrumental: Madden
    Novelty Act: Silverbridge
    Set dancing Dromintee
Club of the year 2010: Dromintee

Great night was had and I picked up a few county medals myself

That Silverbridge Novelty Act is worth going to see alone. Jarlath Burns and a few of his brothers are in it. They were absolutely hilarious.

All roads lead to Glengormley on saturday for the Ulster Semi Final against Antrim and Down. Best of luck to all of Armaghs competitors.

Dromintee won the Ceili last night and progress to the Ulster Final. There are 8 acts in Scor and last night Armagh won 5 of the 8. Jarlath Burns and brothers are phenomenal in that novelty act!

On the downside I'd like to queston some of the so-called big clubs in Armagh. Who contested the Armagh championship final last year? Two great teams no doubt but there's more to the GAA than football. 15 Armagh clubs out of 45 entered this year. Is it 45???Only a third, yet they won 5 of the competitions last night. For me personally- and in no bias way - Dromintee are unquestionably the best club in the county. As a football side they compete at the top and have every chance of winning the championship IMO. Yet they know that the GAA is more than gaelic football. Fair play to 3 other clubs: Silverbridge, Cullyhanna and Madden.

Two weeks to the Ulster final. Come on Armagh and more specifically come on the Droms!

On another note, if you want a great night of entertainment, it is guarnteed here.

I'm not a regular, but I went to last year's Ulster final expecting to be bored sensless. It was superb and of the highest standard.

Go raibh mile maith agat Corn. As Ken Doherty said after the 1997 world championship final. "The butterflies in my stomach were turning into pigeons" I know exactly what he meant!

Best of luck to all from Armagh.

We won the Ulster! Next up the All-Ireland Final in Killarney. Sadly Dromintee Ceili team will be Armaghs only representatives at the final. Let's hope we can do it!

Standard was shocking high in Threemilehouse.

Congrats to Begbie and the Dromintee ceili team who now make their way to the big one in Killarney. Was delighted to see a big turnout of Dromintee support on the night as Scor in the parish has been very successful.

Armagh got county of the year but, unfortunately, Dromintee were the only winners from representatives in five (Begbie?) categories.

Jarlath Burns and the Silverbridge crew were unlucky in the novelty act section, a great performance but they fell to an excellent Eglish one too. Hard to choose between them. The first one, I think Derrygonnelly perhaps, was brilliant too.

GAA questions from the quiz for what I can remeber:

What competion is the Fraher Cup awarded for - tick for Corn
Between 2002 and 2006 which team faced Cork in successive All-Ireland camogie finals – tick for Corn
What county is Dromad Pearses from - x for Corn, really should have known that
Whose autobiography was named Final Whistle - x for Corn
Which side won this year's All-ireland Intermediate Football Championship - tick for Corn

Yes there were 5 acts there. Silverbridge in both the Novelty Act and The Quiz, Niamh Divine for Cruppen in the recitation, Madden in the instrumental and Dromintee in the Ceili.

Dromintee will now represent Armagh facing teams from Kerry (Spa) Louth (St.Martins) and a Leitrim team (not sure of the club however).
