Whilst I'd love Sam to 'come across the border', can't see further than the Kingdom for Sam.

I just don't know how the Kerrymen continue to perform every time it matters, whether it be front door or back door.

Oh for 2001 when we thought we'd cracked it..

It was a great day indeed, even the following year's defeat to our friends across the way was bearable as we thought this was going to be a regular occurence.

    What wishful thinking eh !

I watched the final in praia de rocha (portugal) ..i was with a bunch of guys and gals from armagh and i had one of the best times of my life ....(i was posted missing for two days) . I also met some really nice folks from armagh(portadown) in a wee hotel in marmaris maybe four or five years ago .
maybe it was because i was wearing a GGA top(aontroim... i,m afraid )hahahahaha ...it was given to me by a friend from belfast and i wore it with pride in any countries i visited over the years .

As long as they dont meet Kerry at the business end of the championship they would be my pick also.

Cork are a wonderful side that if they get on top of you they can destroy you with speed, class and wonderful scores, the problem is they cannot get over the head barriers when they meet the Kerrymen, they are a bit like Dromintee when they faced Cross in the Championship for about ten years or so.

If we get to the quarters we will have done well this year, next year I would expect to be last four and from there another AI win within three years. No pressure on Paddy and the boys there.

Cork or Armagh will win Sam this year - dark horses and one to watch - Galway.
no matter which great player we think of they all started their careers at a club - the club is the cornerstone of the GAA foundation - lets keep it that way

Alot of people are of the opinion that it's "wide open" this year. I disagree to say the least. The big three of Kerry, Cork and Tyrone still have it between them and I personally would still narrow it to Kerry and Tyrone. Dublin have many new faces and have impressed in the league but I never have tipped them for Sam and I won't this year either.

I'd probably edge towards Tyrone. If O'Neill is not fully fit it would be a massive ask for them and hard to imagine. Tommy Walsh will be a big miss for Kerry, in saying that Donaghy returns so maybe Walsh will not be overly missed. I don't think Ulster is finished with Sam for a while just yet. I'd tip Tyrone simply because if Kerry and Tyrone meet head to head I'd fancy Tyrone to come out on top again.

I don't think Armagh have the forward power at the moment to launch a serious bid for sam. Midfield is also relatively new and yet to be really tested. If Vernon produces to potrntial and we unearth two more serious scoring forwards then we are a big threat . Up until then we will struggle to get by Derry and if not hope for a few good draws in the back-door.
