    Default Will McGeeney leave Kildare?

Now that McGeeney's three year contract is almost up and depending on where Kildare finish this year does anyone think that McGeeney will leave Kildare after this years Championship?

After three years the only teams that Kildare have lost to are Wicklow, Louth and Dublin in Leinster and Cork and Tyrone in the All Ireland championship. What is impressive is that under McGeeney Kildare have not lost a single qualifier game. He has shown that he is a decent enough manager but needs some more experience.

What next for McGeeney? Stay another year or so at Kildare or move on to something else?

He should stay in Kildare for one more year, then next year after our narrow quarter - final defeat to Kerry he should take over the reins from Paddy ORourke.

Considering the state Kildare were in when he took over, he isn't going too bad in the roving himself stakes. I think he will be a big name on the management scene for a long time, sadly I don't think he'll ever be our boss.

True he is doing a good job in Kildare, they always had some nice footballers but he seem to have given them some steel, so haing in there when things are not going well. All thats missing now is some silverware.

Is Geezer still based in Dublin?? Cos it would be a big commitment with lots of travelling to leave Kildare to take over in Armagh.

I have no doubt down the line that he would probably love to manage Armagh. But will "the Powers that be" allow it to happen, or will he suffer a similar fate to Paul grimlely. Geezer remained loyal to gimley when all the controversy was going on aroud the time Paddy O Rourke was appointed. He had him as his deputy in Kildare. The hug between them after last Saturdays game showed the respect they had for each other. So while the present "powers that be" remain, its hard to see them appointing a manager who was that close to Grimley.

I think he has unfinished business in Kildare after today. A kick of a ball from the All Ireland final. Surely he can't walk away after being that close?
