Just came across info that Armagh GAA planned to build a new stand at the Athletic Grounds.
Being a groundhopper from across the water i could,nt pass the chance to find out more.
To be fair my knowledge of the GAA and more so of its stadiums is pretty limited.
So far i,ve mange to visit 8 GAA grounds.
2 in Dublin, Croke and Parnell, Casement, Esler, Celtic Park in Derry, Healy Park in Omagh, Clones and oh Ballybofey.
So i take it from what i,m reading the plans in Armagh are for the stand to be finished by the end of 2010.
So a visit to Armagh is on the cards next Spring.
Is there any other longer term plans for the stadium ?
