I hope the Clans go down, they do my head in.
I used to be of the same opinion but I have changed my opinion of the Clans. Fair play to them, changing squad with many young players and they have managed to steady the ship in division one and although their championship run was short this year, they did very well last year. I think local teams should support each other.
can you tell me begbie were is the county centre of excellence going to be????????
yous must be running out of conspiracy theories up in the north by now..what a load of shite!
on the pk issue...i havent seen it again however my first opinion was he lead with elbow/forearm raised into oncoming dromintee player who was in frontal position..that was my real time view.
Unfortunately, unless theres a minor miracle, it now looks like Killeavy will join Mullaghbawn in division 2 though sarsfileds should count themselves extremely lucky.. Killeavy led both games this year by 3 points headin into stoppage time and conspired to concede late late goals and late frees for a draw and 1 point loss on sunday. If they had hung on they would have had 4 points instead of 1 and sarsfields 0 points instead of 3.. I have no doubt this swing in points would have kept killeavy up this year..
However it is a very young side with 7 u21s starting, and whenever we come back up to division 1 we will stay there for sure, great players coming thru and competing at the top in every underage table, the club and team will only get better with each passing year..
Killeavy Gael it is all about getting the rub of the green on the day (luck). we ourselves have a very young team and as you state the longer we stay in Div 1 with those young lads the better they will become. unfortunately 2 teams have to go down but can become better teams for it although i wouldn't fancy div 2 as i believe it to be a real dog fight and much harder to get promoted that people think (see Harps).
As far as i'm concerned until it is certain any 2 of the bottom 5 teams can still be relegated, you only have to look at what culloville done last year to prove that as long as it's mathmatically possible then you have a chance. Killeavy have struggled this year and also the split in the camp a few years ago prob is still taking it's toll but you have a young team and a good setup there so the future's not too bad for you
I always decide...just ask the men on the canvas
I think if stevie plays for few more yrs and he scores 1_7 a game like he did near both times against us they will go straight back other than tht imo I don't think they good enuff the tones are better them imo and mayb tir nog on their day, killeavy wil either cum up straight away or mid table if relegated which my no for sure chance is guaranteed although its out of their hands as wit mullaghbawn
