In the game yesterday there seemed to be at least half a metre or 2 ft. in old speak, from the kicker. In my humble opinion it was not a penalty, but what veiw did the ref.have.
IMO it wasn't a penalty either..not that I'm complaining. The other penalty was stone-wall however. Our player was definitely fouled inside the big square.

So if a player shoots for goal from 21yards out and a full back on the 14 sticks out a leg to stop it it's a foul then would you agree? Yesterdays incident involved ogs number 8 jumping straight up hands up in the air just trying to be as much of a shield as possible. The forward shot from side edge of large square ogs no 8 was just of the goal line and thus there was no danger to ne1...mainly because there was no footblock

Nor was it a sending off offence

Ok.... I only saw the red possibly cos I was asking why play had stopped but regardless if it wasn't a penalty and wasn't a footblock then it wasn't a second yellow

The First penalty was a 50/50 call, but from where is was standing it looked like the foul happened outside the square.

No.8 was sent off for arguing back with the Ref I think (second yellow).

As far as I'm concerned, the referee ruined what could have been a fascinating last 15 mins of a match which had been played in good spirits up until he soured it.

i was behind the goal there was no arguing the lad turned and walked away without saying a word and id say any clans player or ogs player who was close to the action could confirm that

Well then the sending off seems crazy, especially since it was never a foul

I'd be fairly certain that the 2nd yellow was for the footblock (if there even was one) as thats what the rule book says (Automatic yellow).

On the game itself, it was a very close game up until we were awarded the penalty. I was bracing myself for a nail biting finish but thankfully it didn't happen, if the penalty decision was given against us i'd have went mad. The Og's missed two one on one's with our keeper saving them and that was a big factor. However, we also missed two or three goal chances. what about the one the Clans player shot and it hit the post and rebounded out to another Clans man and he shot and hit the other post

The game was played in good spirit from both teams and i don't believe there was a bad tackle the whole match, the Og's midfield were two big men so we had to bypass them to our two wing half forwards. Jimmy soon caught onto that and brought on two big men to mark our wing half forwards. Those two teams yesterday would beat most 3rd division teams in Armagh.
I always decide...just ask the men on the canvas

more or less spot on the only thing id disagree with is the ogs didnt miss the goal chances clans keeper pulled off two very good saves and deserves credit especially for the second.
