I know the hurling was initially down for Saturday as my nephew is on the hurling squad. Did not hear it had been switched.

This argument is a dead issue, Dual players at County level can't hope to hack it so make a choice and stick to it.
To have any lads on both squads is crazy especially when there is the chance of such a clash, good God it is bad enough to have lads playing both codes at club without then dipping into the same pool at County level, surely by the time they have got to U16 the split/preference should be evident, smacks of bad practice from Dev squad managers re. choices.
Basically don't dilly, dally between the 2 codes if you want to be an elite athlete pick one and go for it players have to stop hedging their bets and Coaches have to get real and be honest with the players and stop dodging the bullet.

I was merely pointing out that this is a dead issue or should be, there may well be some crossover re. Minor/Senior hurling squads but we souldn't by now at this level be countenacing the dual-football/hurling player.

Also our Senior squad should not have to rely on Minors, U21's maybe, but certainly not Minors in a starting lineup at County level if we have a clash, double up of hurling fixtures like this!!

Particularly given the run our Minors are on they and their panel don't need distractions, although after todays results we will not have to worry about it anyway!

What exactly is your point Grange???
