lavery is a shoe in on the performance he put in on sunday in comparrison to those around...i know changes have to be made...but i cud only see 2 r 3 happening at most for the next game, genrally alot of guys have ad good seasons so far but all fell below par at the weekend, if we get everyone on form again no one will want to draw us...home draw would go down well also lol

I didn't realise the attendance was that low to be honest. Most of the matches we played in Clones in the noughties were in the mid twenty thousands - even the day we travelled to Breffni Park for the opener in 2008, the attendance was over 23K. We even got 20K for a McKenna Cup semi-final in Belfast a few years ago!!

Clones would definitely have attracted a bigger crowd on Sunday, but I guess the current economic situation is a significant factor for supporters.

If anyone had asked us at the back end of last year, would you accept winning Div2 and promotion?
What would the answer have been? Too right we would!!! We are in the middle of transition and should be patient. But no, some criticise players and managment I think we still need a year or so yet to get back to where we were before.A child learning to walk falls over many times, but gets there in the end. So will Armagh.

11,000 but were U16s free and, if so, are they counted in that figure?

As far as I know Corn, each person who goes through the turnstile, causing it to 'click', is counted in the attendance.

I think we have to look at some way of being more positive with our play and sticking to it. When the proverbial hit the fan on Sun we reverted to old Plan A - Kick it to Stevie??

This doesn't do him justice as has been proved when we play a more expansive game it actually creates the room for him to play in.

I also think that the management were unfair to Jamie Clarke, he ended up smothered, he needs space and his physique couldn't break him free of his markers, why weren't Forker & Henderson rolled out??

We obviously couldn't have got any worse!!

The Aaron Kernan experiment is over indeed if you want a half back to change take Paul Duffy he lead by example and ran at them and caused panic.

Charlie Vernon needs some stability give him a position and let him grow into it he seems to have been given the unenvialble task of firefighting any problem position rather than management using subs and panel more effectively. Brian Mallon has become a liability, with no real end product and the suspension is a chance for management to think about alternatives around this area - someone who scores would be good!

Our midfield is immobile no matter who is in it Toner & Lavery look the best available pairing but they are too easily bypassed by running players a flayling arm stops no one as they run past.

There are a lot of gaps in our team and we ahve to be realistic a run in qualifiers would be good, qfinal would be as good as an AI at this stage because like it or not if we draw the likes of for eg Cork or Kerry it will be a long summer watching everyone else on tv because we just aren't anywhere near good enough collectively.

Sloithar I'd say our problem on Sunday was we couldn't revert to that plan A, kicking to Stevie, enough.

He was making hay with any ball that went in basically. The problems clearly lay further out the field and our inability to win possession in the middle third.

I hear Robbie Tasker cleaned out Mallon last night, hopefully just a blip, form is temporary Andy.

Also, McKinney made a mistake. I thought this was impossible the way some Armagh fans go on, mostly non-Ogs fans too!

How the line watched armagh's inability to win ball around the middle for 70 mins and left O'Rourke on the bench beggars belief

I thought as much as well.

Obviously Marty's style doesn't suit many, but that was a match suited for him.
