Have to say the match was an absolute non event. That's twice we've played them in the last couple of months and both times Donegal have lay down and died. Donegal were a disgrace to their jersey, and I felt very sorry for their loyal band of followers who made it to Crossmaglen. John Joe Doherty has since quit - I honestly feel he had no option - and there has to be an absolute clear out for them of their current panel - too many nice footballers with absolutely no heart!
For us, although the result was good, and there were some good individual performances, the whole afternoon has to be seen in the context of the opposition. Young Jamie Clarke of Rangers was a real threat up front and had 2-2 inside the first quarter of the game. Nippy Swift had an excellent game and Brendan Donaghy is fast turning into one of the best full backs in Ireland. There was a good spread of scores, midfield worked hard and the defence contained easily a less than incisive attack.
As stated though - no point in getting carried away, although getting a win under our belts after the Monaghan debacle was vital. A number of players also made their Championship debuts, which was pleasing to see.

Nice to note for a change the price of tickets .. £9 for the terrace and £5 for juvenile .
A sensible price and the Ulster council are to be commended considering the fact it was £11 into The MC Kenna cup earlier this season
