Not the team I would have liked to have seen, I really think Toner would be better with 3 nailed on his back

Glad to see McEvoy keep his place, he deserves it.

Named team much as expected. Any chance there maybe a change at midfield or half forward before throw in?

great to see Forker back and hopefully he shows well today. Disappointed not to see the Midfield changed. It simply isn't strong enough and will be found out during the championship. I agree that Toner should be moved back to FB. He was solid there during the McKenna Cup.

    Looking forward to the game.

"Provided Kildare put the shackles on stevie mcdonnell, Armagh pose little threat up front" - Pat Spillane in todays sunday world.

Final score Armagh 0-12 Kildare 0-5

Thats right Pat, on the ball as usual, just keep predicting the other team and we will be happy enough.

The final score was 0-13 to 0-5.
    McDonnell 5
    Forker 3
    Henderson 1
    McNamee 1
    Austin 1
    Paul Kernan 1
    Aaron Kernan 1

Poor Kildare team - void of ideas and if Armagh had steadied themselves 0-20 to 0-5 would have been a fair reflection
Full back line was superb today - Half back line were strong and attacked as often as they could
Toner was immense in midfield - bossed Earley again. Austin was very industrious
Half-forward line worked hard but Aaron Kernan needs to release the ball much quicker and not slow the play down. Swift was very good today and strong on the ball.
Up front we have a full-forward line that will scare the bejaysus out of any team. McDonnell was good again but I don't think wandering back in to your own 50 benefits the team.
Forker just needs the ball and he will score and Henderson is maturing into a great player.

Some great passages of play from Armagh today - very fit and mobile. Down will be a major key match now with promotion to div 1 now in sight.
no matter which great player we think of they all started their careers at a club - the club is the cornerstone of the GAA foundation - lets keep it that way

Good result today, henderson was anonymous, Forker was very good and i think might be a championship starter come the summer.I dont think AK at CHF is going to work if i base it on what i saw today, the whole defense were good with Duffy the outstanding player today but the default FF line for the championship will be forker, mc donnell and clarke, how good does that look? Worthy mention also for Toner who showed today that he must stay in midfield for the championship, he had a great game on Earley.
