    Default Bring back Francie?

Not sure if this idea has been suggested before, but I really feel that we should bring back Francie, ever since Francie has left we have often lost out to 'physical teams' and we always have seemed to look less aggressive in the past two years.

Ever since Francie has left our defence has been a mess, he presence alone would surely inspire Hearty and the rest of the players out the field.

I genuinely beleive O'rourke should be on the phone and try to get Francie back!

Nonsense. Donaghy is a better FB than Bellew ever was.

Would disagree there Begbie, although Donaghy has the potential to become a better FB than what Bellew ever was.

We can agree to disagree. In fairness most people will agree with you. Donaghy got roasted yesterday by a quality forward. Mr Bellew also got a few roastings in his time from quality forwards. I just always thought Francie was rated too highly (only by people within the county) the comical cult following he had led many to believe he was a superstar. For me he was very dodgy at times. Others saw him as rock solid.

As far as being physical, that would have done Francie little good yesterday. It's not like Donaghy was muscled off the ball, he was simply well outplayed by a a talented, nippy forward in McManus. Would Francie have done better? Certainly not. As far as his presence goes, well we are missing leaders in the Armagh team, that's true, but this is definately not the answer.

I just felt that having Francie in the side could inspire the rest of the team, and judging by Sunday's performance it looks like this current team has lost it's pride, passion, heart and character, hunger and desire.

This season our defence has been a shambles, although I highly rate him Donaghy is not yet ready to play FB, I would allow him to mature and develop in the corner before moving him to FB.
