    Hoping too get down.

I always fear for us against Laois...in the NFL anyway.

Ronan Clarke is set to start his first National Football League game for Armagh this year when the Paddy O'Rourke's team travel to Portlaoise this Saturday night to take on Laois.

Clarke is expected to join fellow veteran attacker Steven McDonnell, who has been in sensational form as of late, in the Orchard attack for the first time this season after recovering from an Achilles' tendon problem which saw him miss out of the first two rounds of the NFL campaign.

O'Rourke is expected to name his team for the trip to O'Moore Park later on in the week.

"Without a doubt, they'll be a different side from the one that lost to Donegal," he notes.

"Traditionally, the third game's always hard. The break gives the teams with no points a chance to regroup and come out strong. We're aware of that.

"Laois have no points. They'll have their players back from suspension and the Portlaoise players back.

"They'll be getting themselves really geared up because they could be in danger of getting relegated if they lose three in a row."

Jesus Paddy, are you paying any attention at all? Laois have two points, from their victory over Tipperary. They are therefore in no danger of suffering a third defeat in a row. And they have a whole one Portlaoise player back.

    That's pretty poor from POR.

Great to see Ronan back, one of the few top players Armagh have. With Stevie in a rich vein of form those two can trouble any team in the country.

Heading down. Hope we do not have the rows of the last couple of meetings. Always fear Laois as a bit of a bogey but hopefully we will scrap through. After the break it will be interesting to see how the team lines out. I assume it will be released about lunchtime tomorrow with a couple of changes before the match starts as usual.

Truely nothing to fear from Laois. Strange as it may seem, i think it's an important game and could show us (me anyway) what to genuinely expect from the year ahead. If we dont give them a tanking i'll be very disappointed:afro:

slip up there by Paddy :D

I don't think Armagh have anything to fear but I'm expecting a hard game. The performances have been encouraging so far and if they can build on that coupled with the return of Clarkie I suspect we will be coming home happy on Saturday,
